The Missouri State Capitol has always been one of our favorite Napoleon Gray showpieces. Built during the period of 1911-1917 after the previous building was destroyed in a fire, the capitol features Phenix's Napoleon Gray throughout the rotunda and interior while Carthage's Ozark Gray was chosen for the exterior.
Over the last few months we've been thrilled to work with the Capitol and their team on a major restoration project. New slabs of Phenix marble were cut and fabricated into new pavers and steps for the exterior of the Capitol building.
Each individual step is lifted by a crane and placed into position by hand.
We'll be adding more progress pictures when we can and will definitely be showing off the finished project when it's complete, so be sure and check back.
